2025 Award Winners

• Major Donald Holleder Lifetime Achievement Award –person whose active life has exhibited the highest level of sportsmanship, character, courage and achievement -Keith Ryan, long-time club member and volunteer, Spencerport Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis, many other volunteer programs

• Charlie Wagner & Christine Wagner Welch Founders Award – promoting sports on the local level with commitment and inspiration-Sal Gerbino, Special Olympics and the Polar Plunge

• ESL Coach of the Year- Stephen Lian, Head Coach of the Brighton High School Varsity Football Team

• Elliot Cushing Award – local person who has excelled on the national sports scene/level-Pete Guelli, Chief Operating Officer-Buffalo Bills & Buffalo Sabres

• Gary Smith & George Beahon Sports Media Award – for local sports media excellence-Paul Gotham, Pickin’ Splinters website

• Jean Giambrone Award – woman who has made an exemplary lifetime commitment to local women’s sports-Deanna Kernan, general manager of Tennis Club of Rochester

• Morrie Silver Award – for special contributions in promoting sports in Rochester & Monroe County-Marty Keating, over 50-year career as a Section V Swimming Coach, recently retired

• Rich Funke Jr. & Jerry Flynn Local College Athlete Award – Brynn King, Roberts Wesleyan Graduate Student, Pole Vaulter, 2024 Olympic Team, holds many NCAA records

• Eddie & Kevin Meath Press-Radio Club Member Community Service Award –  John Snider, volunteer for the club, Challenger World Series, along with several other programs, volunteer firefighter.​
